In an old house in Paris that was covered in vines lived twelve little girls in two straight lines ..
Ever since the age of 5 when I was given the box set of Madeline I wanted to be one of those girls in Paris. Fun fact: I still have the box set at home. The romantic city was always a dream destination of mine, and although it continued to be a cliche tourist destination for many, I still have the same lust for it now as I did when I was young.
After living in the Northern hemisphere for almost a year I finally made the trip from London to Paris - on the Euro Star. I was excited and nervous at the same time, as I didn’t want my trip to be a disappointment. Paris is one of those cities that a lot of people dream about and is overhyped by social media, pop culture and film. It could have easily been an “alright” trip but safe to say it was the complete opposite! There is a reason for the hype that surrounds Paris; it is beautiful, romantic, the food is great and the people - well I thought the most of them were lovely.
I spent four days and three nights in the heart of Paris and can honestly say Paris stole my heart. I will 100% be going back later this year. For the time being I leave you with a series of photographs I took in the city of love.
